i know they have put towers up and coaxed eagle into building nests by putting sticks and limbs on it,,, but has anyone ever heard of trying to pick a tree for them,,, i'm afraid this may be last year for the current tree,, when i was up there in the crane i was leary of even mounting the cam on it,, really rotten.. this tree is just as high as theirs,,, but further from the lake by 60' or so,,, if anyone runs across any articals about anything like this,, please post.. Thumper, you may want to contact Hancock Wildlife. There are instances where someone has done that. White Rock is one. The nest tree was bad, so they built a platform in a nearby tree, started some branches, and the eagles moved.
Hancock was also going to do it with the Sidney nest, but the eagles moved themselves.
I bet Hancock would give you his thoughts and some advice.
