We have a place just around the point from the nest. The eagles fly by our deck all the time. We have noticed that one of them likes to sit in a tree on the edge of the water when it rains. It started raining today about noon and sure enough he shows up. When the wind blows really hard, he lowers his head and makes his back flat. He then looks right into the wind and doesn't move. I assume he's making himself more streamlined, so he doesn't blow around so much. He looks pretty wet. This time of year there are lots of baby geese around. This morning we had some under the same tree he sits in. I wonder if they go after them?
