One of the E's sat on one of his regular branches in our yard this morning. I can never tell which one is which. Morgan was out over the cove yesterday. He looked like he was fishing, so I followed him around for awhile. I was hoping to get a shot of him catching a fish, but he never swooped down on anything.

In looking at the Morgan photo more closely I think their right the last photo isn't him. Sorry for the mix up. It isn't the first time one of the eagles has lost me. All three fly by the house and down the shore quite often. If I'm out in the boat I'll follow them. Some times they fly around a point and will be out of sight until I can catch up. That day Morgan landed in a tree nearby for the first time, so I went out in the boat to follow him when he left. Just like his mom and dad, he flew down the shore and around the point. He must have landed in a tree and when I got around the point their was another large dark bird circling around high above so I assumed it was him and took some photos. I followed that thing for a long time. Morgan was probably watching the whole time. Close up of Morgan to compare with the other photo. Do eagles eat ants? See the ant? Morgan spots it. And goes after it. Go figure. Must not taste good, cause he spits it out. But then goes after another one.

Thanks for the great close up comparison! I would never have questioned it, but a person at Hancock sent me a PM saying the picture was not ID correctly. That's why I asked at this forum. I did remove the "Morgan in Flight" from the other thread. Thanks for all the great photos you have been capturing for us. Morgan is very special to me as my first nest to be moderator of. Since we don't see her at the nest too much now that she has fledged, It's always a joy to see pictures captured by those who see her flying around the area. I can't thank you enough!!! Tweets ( I think the face close up should read.... " I think I'll stick to fish!" ;D
